Boys and Girls Club of Shawano

1300 S Union St.
Shawano, Wisconsin 54166

The Boys & Girls Club of Shawano is an after-school program which provides interactive and hands-on programming, along with a safe place for children to go after school. Club is a place for all children, a place to feel loved and important, and a place where they can feel safe and cared for. The Boys & Girls Club focuses on 5 core areas: character & leadership, health & life skills, sports & recreation, education & career development, and the arts. Shawano Boys & Girls Club is a school based program, which means that students who attend that school are eligible to apply. Olga Brener Intermediate School and Shawano Community Middle School are current school based locations for Boys and Girls Club. Middle School Clubs are mini programs specifically targeting a certain topic or theme. Applications for those specific programs will be available prior to the start date. Membership is kept low, but scholarships are available. We would never turn a child away because of an inability to pay. Applications are available on our website at www.bgcshawano.org. Completed applications can be dropped off at Olga Brener Intermediate School or at Shawano Community Middle School (for mini Middle School programs). If you are interested in applying, volunteering or donating, please visit www.bgcshawano.org. Boys and Girls Club of Shawano is a non-profit and funded entirely by donations and grants. Donations stay local to support Shawano youth.

Opportunity to Volunteer

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Boys & Girls Club, please contact Kim Lodewegen. We are always seeking motivated individuals to help with fundraising events, programming, helping with day-to-day operations, and just being a fun role model to help at Club! An application and background check will need to be completed prior to volunteering. A volunteer application is available online at www.bgcgb.org. Click on "Find your calling" and then "open positions". You will see a "volunteer/internship" application available. If you have any questions about volunteering or completing the volunteer application, please call (715) 851-6171.
