Rotary Club of Shawano
Rotary is a service-based organization that brings community leaders together to accomplish great things by combining our time, talent and treasures. Members of our club work together to improve our community and engage internationally to help make the world a better place. Our motto is “Service Above Self”. We are guided by Rotary International and its values: service, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership.
Rotary meets weekly in the back room of Angie's Main Cafe in downtown Shawano on Mondays from noon until 1:00 pm. We feature different speakers each week who cover a variety of topics. A buffet lunch is served. Cost is $10 for lunch, free to attend otherwise. Guests are welcome to visit any time to learn more about our club! Please contact us if you would like to become a speaker too!
In addition to service projects, Rotary club members engage in fundraising activies to support many local programs. Examples include: scholarships for high school graduates, Shawano County Historical Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Shawano Pathways, SAFPARC, the Shawano Library, Navarino Nature Center and the Badger Boys/Girls State Program. International projects include: Polio eradication, Rotary's International Student Exchange program, Mission Doctors, the Etta Project, and Power Flour.
