SAM25 Shawano Area Matthew 25, Inc.
SAM25 helps those affected by poverty improve their circumstances to become self-sufficient. Our community works together to support the needs of those living in poverty and offers individualized opportunities to gain self-sufficiency, and to have a hope for a better future. Our goals are to provide meals and a safe place to sleep every night; to have access to medical care they can afford; to raise awareness of community resources for those affected by poverty; and to raise awareness of the issues of poverty and how we can work together to eliminate them. There are many volunteer opportunities at SAM's House and for the SAM25 organization. We have volunteers working a shelter shift; make or serve meals; organize donations; be a mentor in the Step to Success program; fundraising; building maintenance; event planning; marketing; database maintenance; cleaning; networking and help on Tuesdays for Resource Day. Our annual fundraiser is the Empty Bowls Caring Hearts held in October.
