Shawano Pathways: Advancing Shawano County's Bicycle and Pedestrian Trails, Routes, Safety and Education. Our monthly meetings are open to all. Some of our achievements are the Park to Park Walking and Biking Loops around the city of Shawano with route maps available in kiosks and trail maps around the city; Born Learning Trails; the connector trail between Rose Brook and River Bend Roads; user-activated safety lights on Green Bay Street at the Mountain Bay Trail crossing; donating bicycles to SAM 25, donating bike racks to parks, building snowshoe trails, and helping pay for paved shoulders on Cty Road H. We host snowshoe hikes, Trail Clean-Up days, Bike the Barn Quilts and Wolf River Paddle and Pedal. We are a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2011 by people passionate about improving health and quality of life in Shawano through better walking and biking opportunities. We rely on membership, grants, and fundraisers. to help support the many programs, trails, and projects we strive to promote, develop, and preserve. Members receive discount registration for our events. To find out more about us, visit our website, follow our Facebook page, request a brochure, and attend our Annual Social/Report to the Community.

Opportunity to Volunteer

Volunteers welcomed and needed throughout the year at events such as Trail Clean-Up (April), Bike the Barn Quilts (Sept.), our fundraiser beverage booth at Thursdayz at Franklin Park concerts (summer), Wolf River Paddle and Pedal (June), snowshoe hikes (Jan. - March). Volunteers help plan, organize, distribute maps and flyers, mark routes, greet and register participants, serve food, etc. Our organization is run by volunteers - we encourage people who are interested in making Shawano more bike-able and walk-able. to get involved as much as they would like.
